JDSU / USB Power Meter / MP-80

The JDSU™ MP-80 Miniature USB Optical Power Meter is a miniaturized, lightweight device that is designed to take optical power measurements while directly connected to a PC or laptop through a USB 2.0 connection. This power meter can perform digital power measurments, fiber inspection, and fiber analysis and is fully capable of handling both single mode and multimode applications such as LAN, TELECOM, CATV, and DWDM testing. The MP-80A can measure at pre-calibrated wavelengths of 850, 980, 1300, 1310, 1490, 1550, and 1625 nm with a range of -50 to 26 dBm and an intrinsic uncertainty of +/- 0.20 dB. This power meter modulates signals at 270 Hz, 330 Hz, 1kHz, and 2kHz respectively. This single-button meter has completely automated data logging capabilities, automatic wavelength detection and is compatible with FiberCheck2 inspection and analysis software.
